Jim Hunter – Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City

Jim Hunter is vice president of the Examinations and Inspections Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, with responsibility for overseeing the supervision of all community banking organization in the Tenth District. Jim joined the Bank in 1985 as an assistant examiner in the Examinations and Inspections Department. He held various examiner positions in the Applications and Enforcement, Supervision, and Examinations and Inspections Departments, before being promoted to managing examiner in 1998. In 2003, Jim was named assistant vice president for the Applications and Credit and Risk Management Departments, and in 2004 he assumed responsibility for the Learning Services department as well. Jim assumed responsibility for the Kansas City Examinations and Inspections department in 2006, and in addition served as assistant secretary to the Reserve’s Bank’s board of directors in 2008. Jim was promoted to his current position in August 2009. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Missouri.
