K. Paul Qualls – Regional Examiner; Oklahoma State Banking Department

Paul Qualls is currently the Regional Examiner for the Oklahoma State Banking Department. He has been with the Department for 31 years and began his regulatory career at the height of the banking bust in the mid 1980’s. Paul currently supervises 19 field examiners and is primarily responsible for the oversight of all state chartered bank examinations in the western half of Oklahoma.  Besides examination duties, Paul was Curricula Chairman/ Instructor of the Credit Evaluation School for the Conference of State Banking Supervisors based in Washington, D.C.  He has also been an instructor at the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, CO., and conducts Director training for de novo banks on behalf of the Department.  In addition, Paul has been a featured writer for the Oklahoma Bankers Association and is the regulatory representative at their Consumer and Commercial Lending Schools.
